Warranty Policy
Information about manufacturer warranties, warranty claims, product assessments, repairs, replacements, and warranty exclusions for products purchased from Circuit Plus.
Circuit Plus (Pty) Ltd is a South African information technology company and online technology retailer. This Warranty Policy applies to eligible warranty claims, DOA assessments, supplier assessments, manufacturer warranties, repairs, replacements, credits, and product support.
Circuit Plus supplies technology products that may include manufacturer warranties, distributor warranties, supplier warranties, or limited product warranties depending on the product purchased.
Warranty coverage, duration, claim requirements, repair options, replacement options, and exclusions may vary by brand, product category, manufacturer, supplier, and applicable warranty terms.
Most hardware products are covered by the original manufacturer warranty. Warranty duration and coverage may vary by brand, model, serial number, region, supplier terms, and manufacturer policy.
Certain products may be subject to supplier, distributor, or authorized service provider warranty procedures. Circuit Plus may need to submit warranty claims to the relevant supplier or manufacturer before a final outcome can be confirmed.
Customers may be required to provide proof of purchase, invoice details, order number, product serial number, photos, fault description, and any other information required by Circuit Plus, the supplier, or the manufacturer when submitting a warranty claim.
Products submitted for warranty may need to be inspected, tested, or assessed by Circuit Plus, the manufacturer, supplier, distributor, or an authorized service provider before a warranty claim is approved.
Products that appear faulty upon first use should be reported as soon as possible. DOA claims may require inspection, testing, photos, packaging verification, supplier approval, or manufacturer confirmation before replacement, repair, credit, or refund approval.
Approved warranty claims may result in repair, replacement, credit, refund, or another suitable resolution depending on the manufacturer warranty, supplier process, product condition, product availability, and applicable law.
Replacement products are subject to stock availability and supplier approval. Where the same product is no longer available, the supplier or manufacturer may offer a suitable alternative, repair, credit, or other approved resolution.
Warranty assessment and resolution timeframes depend on the product, supplier, manufacturer, courier process, service provider availability, and the complexity of the fault. Circuit Plus will provide updates where reasonably possible.
Warranty cover may not apply to physical damage, liquid damage, misuse, abuse, negligence, unauthorized repairs, tampering, incorrect installation, power surges, lightning damage, accidental damage, software issues, malware, data loss, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by non-compliant use.
If a product is submitted for warranty assessment and no fault is found, the customer may be responsible for assessment fees, return shipping, re-delivery fees, supplier testing charges, or handling costs where permitted by applicable law.
Customers are responsible for backing up and removing personal or business data from devices before submitting products for warranty assessment, repair, replacement, or return. Circuit Plus is not responsible for loss, recovery, disclosure, or retention of data stored on submitted devices.
Software products, licenses, subscriptions, activation keys, cloud services, downloadable products, and digital products are subject to the relevant vendor, publisher, or platform terms. These products may not be returnable or refundable once activated, issued, delivered, or provisioned unless required by law.
Consumables, batteries, cables, accessories, print cartridges, storage media, and similar items may have limited warranty coverage or product-specific warranty conditions depending on the manufacturer or supplier policy.
Warranty terms for special-order products, custom-configured hardware, built-to-order systems, project-based solutions, and supplier-procured products may vary depending on supplier, manufacturer, or project agreement terms.
Business-to-business orders, bulk procurement orders, project supply orders, configured systems, and professional service-related hardware may be subject to supplier terms, project documentation, service agreements, or manufacturer warranty processes.
Customers may be responsible for delivering warranty items to Circuit Plus or the approved warranty address unless otherwise agreed. Where a warranty claim is approved due to a verified defect covered by warranty, return shipping or replacement delivery may be handled according to supplier, manufacturer, or Circuit Plus procedures.
Products submitted for warranty should be safely packaged and include all required accessories, power supplies, serial number labels, and documentation where requested. Damage caused during customer-arranged shipping may affect warranty approval.
Warranty coverage may be void where products have been opened, repaired, modified, altered, tampered with, serviced by unauthorized parties, or used outside the manufacturer’s recommended conditions.
Warranty coverage may not apply to damage caused by power surges, load-shedding events, incorrect voltage, lightning, unstable power supply, overheating, poor ventilation, moisture, dust, incorrect installation, or unsuitable operating environments.
Warranty-related returns, refunds, exchanges, and cancellations are also subject to the Circuit Plus Returns & Refund Policy and applicable South African consumer protection legislation.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate fault descriptions, proof of purchase, serial numbers, photos where required, complete accessories where applicable, and truthful information during the warranty process. Incorrect or incomplete information may delay assessment or resolution.
Circuit Plus may update this Warranty Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this page and will become effective from the date of publication.
